Le Chocolat des Français are artists in both the chocolatier sense and the design sense. Teaming up with famous artists they create bright and playful packaging filled with the most desirable chocolate treats.
For Francophiles and artists, this is the ultimate countdown to Christmas. Seemingly inspired by the museums and galleries of Paris, The Super Organic Advent Calendar (or to give it its French name, Le Super Calendrier de l’Avent Bio) is filled with 24 assorted milk and dark chocolates. There’s almond and pecan praline, hazelnut gianduja, almond praline with crispy wafer, hazelnut praline, almond praline with caramelised hazelnuts, milk chocolate bars, dark chocolate bars, a salted dark chocolate bar, a selection of chocolate squares and various cocoa truffles, including some filled with caramel, orange peel, wafer and hazelnuts. Wait a minute, this is more like a luxury chocolate box! The artwork was illustrated by Aurore Carric, who lives near Paris, likes drawing imaginary animals and mysterious girls smoking, and often designs for French food magazines.
Illustrators Matthieu and Paul fell in love at art school in Paris in 2004. A few years later they met Vincent and realised that the three of them shared an intense passion of chocolate. The Three Chocolatiers – the Athos, Porthos and Aramis of confectionery – embarked on an adventure; all for chocolate and chocolate for all. Under the moniker Le Chocolat des Français they create masterpieces that are as beautiful on the eye as they are on the taste buds.
